The blessing comes from obedience to God’s instruction

1 . God, the Absolute Expert

“When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, ‘Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.’ But Simon answered and said to Him, ‘Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.’ And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.”

Luke 5:4–6

We may be experts in a specific field, with experience and skills gained over time. However, God remains the Absolute Expert. He sees beyond human knowledge and can give instructions that lead us to a higher level of productivity, blessing, and impact.

Peter was an experienced fisherman. He had done everything that was humanly possible: working all night, relying on his expertise, and persevering despite failure. Yet the miracle did not happen because of his experience, but when he obeyed Jesus’ instruction. The difference was not in the action itself, but in obedience to the word of Jesus.
Blessing flows from obedience to God’s instruction.

2. Intimacy with Jesus: The Key to Divine Direction

This is why intimacy with Jesus is essential. He is the Wonderful Counselor. As we remain close to Him, we receive divine direction that enables us to prosper, even in difficult environments where human ability reaches its limits.

Intimacy with Jesus positions us to hear His instructions and to have the faith to obey, even when human logic suggests otherwise.

3. Obedience That Transforms the Ordinary into the Extraordinary

John 2:1–10

At the wedding in Cana, the servants performed simple and ordinary tasks: filling jars with water. In themselves, these actions were nothing special. The difference was that they were done according to Jesus’ instruction.

What was ordinary became extraordinary. The water was transformed into high-quality wine. This teaches us that simple actions, when carried out in obedience to God’s instruction, can produce exceptional results.
